HOW TO CONTROL YOUR MIND

 

You either control your mind or it controls you. Famous words which holds true in every situation that we face in life. It’s a choice that you have to make. It’s imperative for everyone to learn the art of controlling the mind. Your thoughts directly control how you are feeling at any given moment- regardless of whether you are consciously aware or not.

 

The human mind has to be gradually and strategically brought under control. The truth is, that the human mind can be the greatest friend, but if not controlled can turn out to be the worst enemy. Honestly, we attract what we think. I have always observed that when you start thinking and saying what you really want then your mind automatically shifts and pulls you out in that direction. It’s very important to be positive and show negativity the door.

                                     

 

One has to train his mind to be tougher than situations. I assure you it will take u much further in life than anticipated.

Ways to control the mind will be

 

  1. STOP YOUR THOUGHTS

    If you don’t control your mind, someone else will. One has to practice the art of having a strong control on their thoughts. Negative thoughts should be stopped at bay. One has to learn that if you are not in control of your mind, someone else will rule it. Negativity has to be shown the door. Your genes don’t control your life, as much as your mind and your thoughts do.

  3. IDENTIFICATION OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS:

    The hardest part of practicing control is to identify where the negativity breeds in the mind. Certain aspects or people are majorly responsible for making us think in a certain manner. The people who really make you angry, control you! Learn to deal with those situations and those people and then you are sorted for life. Source identification of such thoughts will help us a long way.

  1. REALISATION THAT THOUGHTS ARE JUST THOUGHTS:

    Take mental breaks as often as possible. Instead of reacting to every thought try letting it go. Your reactions are what that keeps negative thoughts alive. Make peace and think positive. A mind is a confluence of thoughts. Some negative, some positive. At the end of the day they are just thoughts. So, let them be that only. When stopped at the inception itself they won’t be able to control us. And even if full grown thoughts are making us negatively inclined then practice self-discipline to crush them.

    One has to imbibe to listen patiently. You have to learn to listen with an intent of listening and not answering. Listening helps, be it to others, be it to yourself. Thoughts and its control can be well practiced through listening as well as acknowledging the right vs the wrong. Honestly, we all know what is morally correct and what is not. We just have to reframe and retrain our mind to think positively. We have to practice diligently to achieve results. Self-discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.

  3. PRACTICE SELF-DISCIPLINE AND SELF COMPASSION.

    Your body is a strong machine. But fueling is essential by a powerful mind. And for the mind to generate and maintain a continuous flow of essential fuel, self-control and disciplined life are the prerequisites. Human by nature is fickle minded. A healthy lifestyle and a disciplined life help us to control our mind the way we desire to. Along with discipline we should also practice self-compassion. Be warm and understanding to your own self. Being harsh, self-criticism, and ignoring our own pain won’t help.
